It can be pretty depressing (not to mention lonely) fighting the forced-birthers with nothing more than a computer and a passion for reproductive autonomy, so I was consoled when I read this obituary. I never thought I'd know who invented menstrual extraction, so I'm pretty pleased to have found out.
More detailed posts after mid-July peeps as I'm beyond back of Burke busy at the moment :-(

If ever you wonder, "What can one person do?" Remember Harvey Karman.

Ah, yes, what one man can do.
He can leave 9 of 13 women with hemorrhage and infection after sticking them full of plastic springs. He can send rape victims in Bangladesh home to their villages with their own infections and hemorrhage when he was augmenting his plastic springs with balsa wood. He can get it into his head that a nutcracker would make a great abortion implement, leaving Joyce Johnson dead.
Yeah, old Harvey. He sure made his mark.
Funny thing how only the "forced birthers" think that Joyce Johnson and those rape victims and that busload of women from Chicago deserved better than this creep.
